How much does catering cost in Edmonton and Calgary?

Your catering estimate depends on the menu you choose, the number of guests, delivery to the actual event city and any optional services. M, L and XL are priced per guest. Custom Menu is priced by the dishes and beverages you select. GST is added separately.

Current buffet prices and minimums

M starts at $29.85 per guest with a 50-guest minimum. L starts at $58.88 per guest with a 30-guest minimum. XL starts at $88.85 per guest with a 20-guest minimum. Prices are in CAD before GST. Delivery and optional services are separate. Custom Menu has a $750 food and beverage minimum before GST; delivery, rentals and staffing do not count toward that minimum.

A 30-guest L buffet example

At $58.88 per guest, food for 30 guests is $1,766.40. With Edmonton delivery, setup and teardown at $99, the example subtotal is $1,865.40 before GST. With Calgary delivery at $199, it is $1,965.40 before GST. These examples exclude optional additions and services; they are not a booking or a quotation for an unconfirmed venue.

Why the smallest group does not always use M

M, L and XL describe package options, not simply small, medium and large events. Their minimums differ: M 50, L 30 and XL 20 guests. For a group of 20, compare XL with a Custom Menu that meets the food and beverage minimum. Do not apply M’s per-person rate below its minimum.

When comparing estimates, keep the food subtotal, delivery, optional services and GST visible. Tell us if you need staffing, rentals or other support so those items can be discussed separately. A wedding, work event and family celebration may need different arrangements even at the same guest count.
